Our Client is a leading Fortune 500 US chemical company, operating in more than 70 countries, and offers a wide range of innovative products and services for markets including chemicals, electronics, communications, safety and protection, home and construction, etc.


Primary Function:
Responsible for developing a sustainable safety culture to Safety Resources’ clients using a wide range of safety consulting/training offerings. This involves a series of non-routine, complex consulting/training offerings, integrating safety with the client's culture, assessing client needs, then creatively and flexibly adapting the knowledge into consultative solutions, which inspire confidence and demand for additional services.


Brief Job Description:
- Perform analyses of client safety and business challenges and formulate hypothesis and draft recommended solutions throughout the engagement cycle.
- Lead workshops for external clients in specific areas that include: establishing a safety culture, implementing safety management systems, process hazard analysis, contractor safety and leadership etc. Engage with multiple clients, in various stages of delivery, simultaneously.
- Work with all levels of client organization to implement solutions effectively in order to realize safety improvement goals.
- Develop presentations and documents, at professional standards of excellence for immediate client use in documenting and executing revised business processes.
- Analyze safety and business costs and associated benefits and build business case for client change.
- Self - manage work including what needs to be accomplished, planning sufficient time, dealing with multiple, competing priorities, and delivering commitments established by Project Manager and Business Development Manager.
- Assists clients in creating or improving business and organizational managing procedures and processes to accelerate safety performance and aggressively reduce accidents/injuries and subsequent worker compensation and other costs attributable to unsafe work practices. Clients range in size from small to large multi-national corporations, in strategic targeted industries (e.g., Coal Mining, Shipping, Chemical & Petrochemical, Steel, etc.) as well as large state-owned companies.
- Assists Business Development Managers in defining tactical project details, including the development of project management plans, cost estimates, and other issues.
- Interact/coach all levels within client or prospective accounts, from mid-management through senior executive;
- Acts as a thought leader and is accountable for ensuring Intellectual Capital generated during an engagement is retained and leveraged across the organization;
- Mentors junior personnel to increase their time to full effectiveness.

Minimum Skills Required:
- Bachelor of Engineering or higher, with minimum 10 years operations experience; Management or Leadership experience preferred for Senior Consultants (e.g. plant manager); project management experience is helpful.
- Effectively bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin) and English, both oral and written.
- Ability to build/develop trusting relationship with clients leadership teams.
- Effective communication/presentation skills.
- Understanding of and experience in facilitating business process change and change management.
- Prefer specialized knowledge in industries such as coal mining, chemical & petrochemical, construction, shipping and steel industries.
